Stay Connected: Fort Wayne’s Hotels Are Perfect Fit for FGS Conference

During the 2013 Federation Genealogical Societies Conference, visitors to Fort Wayne will be delighted to learn how convenient it is to move from one meeting building to the next, as each facility is within a two-block radius of the Grand Wayne Convention Center.
This also includes roaming from a downtown hotel room to the Grand Wayne Convention Center. Both the Hilton and Courtyard hotels are connected to the Grand Wayne Convention Center, providing simple accessibility throughout the conference. This is a special feature Fort Wayne can offer groups that many cities cannot match.
Forget a notepad in your hotel room for a workshop? No worries. In less than five minutes, anyone can return to their hotel room and return without rushing and missing a moment of any session. You may even have time to grab a cup of coffee, too.
As mentioned in a previous FGS Conference blog post, the Allen County Public Library is positioned across the street from the Grand Wayne Convention Center. What’s not to like about having EVERY facility within a few minutes’ walk? This is one of many reasons why meeting in Fort Wayne will certainly be a wonderful and unique experience for the Federation Genealogical Societies. Attendees will be able to participate in more meetings, learn more information and save time.
If you decide to pack walking shoes to tour many of Fort Wayne’s outstanding attractions and museums, that’s a valid reason. However, they will not be needed going back and forth between the hotel room and meeting facility.
