It's ready for us! The FGS 2013 conference registration section of the conference website is now ready for your conference registration.
It is easy to use. The FGS webmaster has designed a secure step-by-step system for us. Several people have been testing it over the last couple weeks and we love it! A few others found it and already registered for the conference.
Among the other things you may do during the registration process is purchase tickets for luncheons, special events, a paper syllabus (every registrant receives an electronic version), subscription to FGS FORUM, and support the War of 1812 Preserve the Pensions Project. This is also where librarians sign up for Librarian's Day.
The two evening social events are reasonably priced. The FGS Opening Social at the botanical conservatory across the street from the Grand Wayne Convention Center is only $8. FGS thanks findmypast.com for its generous support for this fun evening.
Friday is a special evening at the Allen County Public Library and the cost is only $10. However, we urge you to add more to that ticket price as all those funds will go to the Preserve the Pensions Project. FGS thanks FamilySearch for the great support of this evening event.
Visit the FGS conference website pages to learn more about all the parts of this major genealogy conference and register for a great educational and fun time in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It's the home of the famed Genealogy Center and there will be special research hours for conference registrants.
The next Federation of Genealogical Societies Conference for the Nation's Genealogists takes place in Fort Wayne, Indiana from August 21-24, 2013. "Journey through Generations" is the conference theme and it is hosted by the Allen County Public Library and the Allen County Genealogical Society of Indiana. Check back frequently for breaking news, details on lectures, speakers, vendors, special offers, events, research places, hotels/convention center, and information about the Fort Wayne area.
